Home education often begins with a set of questions.

• “What does a good education actually look like?”

• “Where do we even start with GCSEs?”

• “Are we doing the right thing?”

• “Can we really do this?”

We have asked ourselves the same questions many times.

The Nexus Connection is designed to be a space to help parents and students find answers to some of those questions and to explore what education can be beyond school walls. Whether you’re just starting out, rethinking a path that no longer fits, or supporting a teenager through a tough time, you're very welcome here.

Written by the small team behind Nexus Educate, specialists in online liberal arts teaching for home-educated students, this blog will, as is natural, have an element of bias. However, The Nexus Connection isn’t intended as a space to market our courses. We have the main website pages for that (and please visit or get in touch if you would like to work with us 😁) The Nexus Connection is intended as a place to share ideas, insights and resources and to offer the kind of clarity that, even as qualified teachers, we wish we’d had when starting our home education journey.
