'Words – so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing in a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become in the hands of one who knows how to combine them.'  Nathaniel Hawthorne

Language is power—and learning to read, write, and communicate with clarity is one of the most valuable skills a student can gain.

This course prepares students for the Cambridge IGCSE English Language (0990) examination through engaging, practical, and discussion-led lessons. Students explore a wide range of nonfiction and literary texts with insight and independence, focusing on comprehension, inference, and analysis.

They also develop the ability to write fluently and accurately across a variety of real-world genres—from articles and reports to narratives and descriptions. With regular feedback and support, students build both exam confidence and transferable skills for life beyond school.

🗂️ WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?

In our small, supportive online classes, students will:
📖 Read a wide range of texts to strengthen comprehension, inference, and analysis
📝 Write with purpose and clarity—including narrative, descriptive, discursive, and persuasive forms
🔍 Learn to interpret tone, perspective, and authorial intent
✍️ Practise timed responses to build stamina and exam readiness
💬 Receive personalised weekly feedback and clear improvement targets

All resources are carefully structured to support long-term progress, not just last-minute revision.
