Section A: Voices in 20th- and 21st-Century Texts
Comparative essay on one unseen extract and one anthology text

Section B: Drama Text
Essay response to an extract from 
All My Sons by Arthur Miller

📘 Open book – clean copy of the drama text permitted

 

📚 Component 2: Varieties in Language & Literature (40%)

🕰️ 2 hours 30 minutes – 50 marks

Section A: Unseen Prose Non-Fiction
Analysis of an unseen text related to a studied theme

Section B: Comparative Essay
Comparison of a studied “anchor” text with another linked text on the same theme

📘 Open book – clean copies of studied texts permitted

 

📝 Component 3: Non-Examined Assessment (Coursework / NEA) (20%)

Total: 60 marks

Assignment 1: Two original writing pieces (one fiction, one creative non-fiction)

Assignment 2: A detailed analytical commentary connecting the written work to the studied texts and course themes
